What’s Next in 2026?

Yep, we’re always up to something.

We’ve got even bigger plans for 2026, more support, and even more ways to serve foster and adoptive families. Looking ahead to 2026, we’re stepping into two new initiatives born directly from the needs we hear every day from the foster and adoptive community. These new efforts carry Haven’s heartbeat forward—caring for the caregivers so children can experience stability, safety, and love.

Initiative 1

A Family Advocate Role, created to walk alongside parents as they advocate for their child’s educational needs—where many feel overwhelmed or unheard. This advocate will provide guidance, presence, and practical support at IEP, 504, and behavioral plan meetings so caregivers never have to navigate these critical conversations alone. Additionally, they will connect families to the community resources that already exist but may feel out of reach.

Initiative 2

A Caseworker Retreat Day, designed to honor and pour into the professionals who work tirelessly for the best possible outcome for children in foster care. Our goal is simple: give caseworkers a day to remember their purpose, rest deeply, and feel profoundly appreciated.
